Theia Privacy Policy

1. Who operates Theia

Theia is published by Shanghai Meowska Film And Television Culture Media Co., Ltd. under the MEOWSKA LABS brand.

2. Data stored on your device

Theia stores projects, captured photos and videos, imported models, spatial scans, app settings, and optional creator-profile information inside the app container on your device. This information remains under your control until you export it, save a copy to Photos, share it, delete it in Theia, or remove the app.

Theia does not require an account and does not operate a developer-controlled cloud service for app projects or captured media.

3. Camera and microphone

Camera access provides the live viewfinder, still capture, video recording, exposure tools, and spatial-previsualization features. Microphone access is used only when you enable audio recording with video. Camera and microphone content is not sent to us.

4. Location and motion

When you allow location access, Theia can attach capture coordinates to project media and calculate sun and moon information. Theia may use Apple’s system geocoding service to turn coordinates into a readable place name. Apple processes that request under its own privacy terms; we do not receive it.

Motion data supports the electronic level and alignment of sun and moon overlays. Location and motion information is not used for tracking or advertising.

5. Photos and files

When you enable saving to Photos or export selected media, Theia writes the items you choose to the system Photos library. When you select a QR contact image, project, model, LUT, or other supported document through Apple’s system picker, Theia receives only the item you select. Theia does not upload these items to us.

6. Tracking, analytics, and advertising

Theia does not track you across apps or websites. Theia contains no third-party advertising SDK and no developer-operated analytics or crash-reporting service.

7. Sharing and external services

Theia shares data only when you initiate an export, save, document transfer, or external-map action. Apple system services and any external app you choose may process that request under their own privacy policies.

8. Retention and deletion

You control locally stored Theia data. Projects and their media can be deleted using Theia’s controls. Removing Theia from your device removes its private app container. Copies previously exported to Photos, Files, another app, or another device must be removed from those destinations separately.

9. Children

Theia is a professional creative tool and is not directed specifically to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through a developer-operated service.

10. Changes and contact
